Precious Metals Specialist Durrett on S & P Downturn

We have been in the gauntlet (negative seasonality) for three weeks, and the S&P has remained strong. It closed today above 7600. However, diesel is at an ATH, and Trump is blowing up Iranian oil tankers. Plus, high interest rates are putting pressure on stocks. The 10-Year (4.8%) and 30-Year (5.3%) are at levels that make Wall Street nervous. Then you have factors that Wall Street is ignoring: private credit, housing, and consumer confidence at historic lows. Plus, the AI trade is not exactly a smooth ride. Add all of this up, and my expected correction on Wall Street is still in play…..

He Bankrupted a Casino Carl

Presidents have no power.  When people discuss President X they might as well be gossiping about the love life of Barbie and Ken.   If you take their cloths off they have no naughty bits with which to be romantic.  The reality is presidents have very limited function

  1. Actor used to continue the illusion of democracy
  2. To be a target of hate when the bankers do something unpleasant. 

Apply these principles to President Bonespurs.  They're setting him to to be eminently hatable. He's part of that operation.  Remember the when Orange Julius did some wresting federation acting?  He's the wrestling heel.   

It is my supposition that you can tell how nasty the move the bankers want to make by how much hate their presidential scape goat is being set up for.

When Something Matters Until It Does Not

Then came the datacenters where they say if China dominates nothing else will matter. The U.S. will lose "The Ring of Power".   After hearing about the obvious scam called Global Warming for 3 decades incessantly suddenly no one talks about it.   We need to use infinite amounts of electricity to build AI data centers to maintain the Imperial U.S.    So one day to the next  global warming was not spoken of again much.
