AI Sales Hype Goes Sideways – So Story Time Begins

Scam Altman is telling you tales of terminators – by all accounts he is a sociopath. If you can not watch him for 5 minutes and see he's not playing straight with you then work on that.

What it is

  • Over sold
  • Not breaking even
  • A way to control free speech on the internet
  • A tool.  Think Black and Decker – are you worried about the razor knife sitting on your work bench or the hand that might pick it up? 
  • It's a bus – and this bus is not one that can go without a human driver. 
  • analysis good
  • It is a computer.  Garbage in garbage out.  Coding syntax? Good.  
  • Excuse to keep stringing stock players around

What it aint

  • Terminator – they over sold it
  • Synthesis – not so great
  • Alive
  • Good economic model to get to the promised land

Government regulation in most if not all instances is a way of suppressing competition.  They want to force you and / or your business intelligence into their machine and then at first sell it back to you and later replace you all together.  But apparently people have other ideas:

They dont want to give all of that away to OpenAI or Anthropic in exchange for expensive tokens.. And on top of that – risk their data being used to train frontier models.. This will happen more and more now.. The big AI labs have no moat.. nothing protecting their largest customers from moving on.. The biggest companies in the world will – – own the compute – own the data – own the workflow – fine tune the model around their business – switch providers when the pricing or quality changes Dario and sama want to make this illegal by bringing in regulation.. and become the AI overlords..
